Overview

A recurring community program at the heart of Chișinău's tech scene

Orange Digital Center (ODC) in Chișinău runs a continuous program of community events — intimate meetups, fireside chats, and talks that bring together founders, creators, and professionals from across Moldova's tech and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The series spans a range of formats and audiences: Leadership și execuție cu Sergiu Matei, a fireside chat on leadership, startups, and the courage to build globally, with the founder of Index.dev and Forbes Technology Council member; Vocea ta în online, a practical session on building and launching your own media project, led by journalist and Unimedia & Agora co-founder Dumitru Ciorici; The Community Hack, a meetup on community, belonging, and the power of real connections, with Elena Putina; and Hello Women, a gathering on what it truly means to be a woman in IT, tech, and entrepreneurship.

Rather than one-off events, these form an ongoing community rhythm — and each one runs on Cardneto.

Challenge

Keeping a recurring community connected, event after event

Community programs live or die on connection. The value of an ODC meetup isn't just the talk on stage — it's whether the people in the room actually find each other, stay in touch, and keep showing up. But each event brings a new mix of attendees, and without a consistent tool, every gathering starts networking from zero: contacts scattered, follow-ups lost, and no thread linking one event to the next.

For a recurring program, that's a compounding problem. The organizer needed one reliable networking layer they could deploy at every event, so the community could grow across the series rather than reset each time.

Solution

One networking platform across the whole program

Cardneto became the standing networking layer for ODC's community events. For each gathering, the organizer set up the event in minutes from the dashboard — name, description, agenda, persona and industry tags tuned to that specific audience — and attendees joined the app with a simple code.

Inside each event, participants could browse who else was there, discover relevant people by industry and persona, and exchange contacts instantly through personal QR codes. Because the same platform powers every event in the series, ODC gets a consistent experience and a real-time view of engagement each time — without rebuilding their setup from scratch.

Results

A community that compounds across events

Across the series, Orange Digital Center has used Cardneto to power four community events — from a fireside chat on leadership to a women-in-tech gathering — onboarding well over 135 attendees onto the platform. More importantly, ODC has a repeatable way to run networking for an ongoing program: every event launches in minutes, attendees connect inside one familiar app, and the community grows event after event rather than starting from zero each time.
